The computerization of public administration (eGovernment) in Slovakia has been writing its history since 1995. Its main principle is the use of modern technologies to make communication with authorities simpler, faster and more efficient.
One of the main milestones of this effort in the geological sphere was the successful construction of the eGeo.sk portal (as part of the GeoIS project). This portal functions as a single gateway to electronic services that fall under the jurisdiction of the State Geological Institute of Dionýz Štúr.
