These registers provide an overview of which parts of the territory of the Slovak Republic have been the subject of deposit, map or geophysical research in the past.

1. Level of Deposit Exploration

This layer maps the spatial extent of deposit explorations of mineral resources in our territory.

  • Object types: Point, line and area objects representing explorations of ore, non-ore and energy resources.

  • Access to documentation: In the attribute table of each object you will find a direct link to the relevant final report stored in the Geofond Archive. Registered users can view these reports online.

2. Level of Geological Mapping

The layer clearly shows geologically mapped areas. The data is processed based on reports from the Geofond Archive and is divided into two sub-registers:

  • Sub-register of general geological exploration: Contains basic, regional, tectonic and structural mapping.

  • Sub-register of purpose-specific geological exploration: Includes engineering-geological, hydrogeological, deposit-geological, as well as soil, geochemical and environmental maps.

3. Level of Geophysical Investigation

This layer visualizes areas where geophysical research has been carried out in the past. The data in the application is divided into two thematic units:

  • Subregister of geophysical survey area (GFP): Displays surveyed areas in the form of areas and profiles.

  • Subregister of geophysical survey drilling – logging (GFK): Displays specific cored (geophysically measured) wells.
