Between 9th and 13th April 2018 a meeting of the GeoPLASMA-CE project partners took place at the State Geological Institute of Dionýz Štúr in Bratislava.

The project is focused on the assessment of the geological environment for the use of shallow geothermal energy for heating and cooling in Central Europe. The project team consists of experts from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria and Slovakia. The project preliminary results and the further work plan were presented during the meeting. Six pilot areas are evaluated within the project, one of them being the Bratislava – Hainburg – Kittsee area. In each pilto area 3D geological model will be created, supplemented by a hydraulic and geothermal model. More information about this project can be found on our website: www.geoplasma-ce.eu. The GeoPLASMA-CE project is implemented within the Interreg Central Europe transnational cooperation program.
